Trying to play on Mac!

I loved the hell out of this game. Finding the site here, was excited to play the game again. anyway, I went through the steps as was talked about when you click on the downloads section. I made the account, so now I am here, and then I downloaded the .EXE setup. I got wine staging and Xquatrz to run wine staging. I did the whole installation. Now I have 3 .EXE amongst a mass of files. Update.EXE Unistall.EXE and Spark.EXE. all of which do nothing.
update tries to bring up an box which immediately closes out. 
Spark.EXE will simply open up in wine and state, "No composition specified, exiting." 

No clue what to do. Help?
